Christmas Luminaries on El Coyote

It is hard to capture with this photo the true magic of Christmas Eve on El Coyote. These luminaries extend the entire length of the beach. These are paper lunch sacks that have sand in them to secure them. Then a tea candle is placed inside to create a luminary. It is an awesome sight. The whole beach participated in the placement of these luminaries. We all become a temporary family for the holidays.

The Christmas star is placed by Ron from Forest Grove, Oregon. He comes down every year and constructs this Christmas star for all to enjoy.
