HAM Radio Field Day at Stub Stuart State Park

Field Day is when all the HAM Radio participants world wide try to talk to each other. Pretty amazing, they will be on the radios all day today, all night tonight and we think part of the day tomorrow. It only happens once a year so nobody minds missing a few Z's to participate in this event.
This guy is from Vernonia. He sets up the shelter and manages emergencies here at Field Day. Notice the snorkel tube on his car. He can drive through standing water up to his neck and still keep the engine running. Plus he has a weather station on top of the car. Who knows what else is in the car.
This is a makeshift antenna for one of the participants. He said he got the ladder cheap at a garage sale. Not usable as a ladder but makes a great antenna for HAM Radio.
Norm wants to put this antenna up in our back yard. What do you think the neighbors will say?
