Spinach Drink for Breakfast-Recipe Added

This may look gross, but it sure is tasty. Fruit and spinach.
In the Vitamix and Blend
1/2 slice fresh pineapple(about 3"x2"x3/4")
1/2 banana
Handful of grapes, seeds and all or 1/4 c. white grape concentrate(the juice makes it sweeter)
One whole orange
Very small wedge of lemon
3/4 cups water
Two huge handfuls of raw spinach with stems
Ice

  1. Oh my! Is it better if you add a scoop of ice cream??? Maybe you could post the recipe and see if we're brave enough to try. I like spinach and I like fruit - just not sure I could drink green for breakfast LOL!!

  2. according to Dr. Oz...everyone, especially as we age, need protein at every meal/snack...really needs to have about 15 grams of protein (powder will do) added to that drink...keeps muscles and gives you energy to hike, zipline, and kayak....go for it!

  3. Protein Powder it is. We bought one from Costco that is Soy Protein. Today I read that soy may prevent the uptake of calcium to the bone tissue?
    I will do further research on this subject?
