The sign says go this a-way.
Traveling the Baja back roads usually leave one puzzled as to the correct route. Imagine our surprise to find this clear direction sign.
Rubicons ready and waiting. Guadalupe ruins here-we-come.
Just follow the brown road up into the hills
Then take this brown dirt road further up into the hills.
Down through a wash.
Open a gate. Be sure and close the gate so the farmers animals do not wander.
Take a relaxing lunch stop along the side of the road.
We stumbled upon this handsome vaquero. He had such a cute grin when I encountered him. But no smiling for the photo.
He was dressed in his full gear including his chaps. Definitely required among all this prickly foliage.
We arrived!
The infamous Guadalupe Ruins.
But no ruins. They have long since crumbled back into the earth.
