Niagra Falls

We have arrived. Niagra Falls Ontario Canada. The sky was blue and the sun was shining. The crowds were abundant.
But we had fun.
The WeGo bus system is very efficient. $7 for 24 hours and we climbed on and off the buses at will to explore the sights.

Horseshoe Falls, Ontario Canada. The current  Maid of the Mist tour boat in the picture is 72 feet long and holds 600 passengers, just to give you an idea of the size of the falls.  At night they project colored lights onto the falls. It is a sight to behold.
The Horseshoe falls fall 176 feet to the water and are 2600 feet wide.

The American Falls just around the bend, located on the New York shore. Smaller than the Horseshoe Falls but pretty awesome.
The American falls are 1060 feet wide and fall 167 feet.
The infamous Floral Clock. Fist constructed in 1950 and continued since. They change the flowers twice a year. Finally got a moment of time alone.

The Bird Kingdom free flying Aviary in Niagra Falls Canada.
Apparently one of the largest in the world.
The bird in the photo is the Chestnut-Mandibled Toucan. One of many very colorful and diverse creatures in the Aviary.

We also visited the Welland Locks and Canal in St. Catharines. This canal system has captured my attention. Next stop Erie Canal.
Stayed in the Shangri-La RV park just east of St. Catharines who claimed on the Ad that  they had Wifi. It seems they did, but I sure couldn't get it to work for me.
We also spent a day visiting the American Falls located across the river in New York.

  1. When we were at Niagra Falls in March of 2003 - all the falls were nearly or totally frozen - actually pretty cool site. Enjoy & stay safe - Carol Anne
