Ship Sighting in Conception Bay

This Ship came in to port just before Christmas. What a spectacular sight it is to see a large ship come into Conception Bay. We learned that this ship is available to rent for those seeking a luxury vacation, a research expedition or perhaps a corporate meeting. Norm took the photo through our telescope. I thought it was a cool picture.

  1. A blow-up of the picture looks like it was anchored pretty close to shore, maybe very close to Berthas. I thought that it was pretty shallow there.

If it gets stuck it could become The
Party Boat for the remainder of the season. Nice!

  2. Good detective work Chris. Yes, it anchored at Berthas. It stayed a couple of days. We all piled into the car and headed over to Berthas to see who emerged from this ship. Not a soul presented while we were there. You can see this ship online and it says that it is chartered for 2008 but we don't know who has it yet as the log is not complete. It will be interesting to find out who had it. Chris,
How is the current weather in N.Y.?

  3. It was in the single digits last night when we walked the dogs but is supposed to get up to a warm 35 deg F today. No snow since New Years eve. 2000 people took part in the Polar Bear club swim in Lake George on New Year's day. (I bet that there has not been that many people swimming in Bahia Conception this year). It is overcast, gray, and dreary. Just lovely weather. Ugh!

How about adding some pictures of evidence of cold afternoon wind blowing, knocking over some RVs, so that we can feel a bit better about not being there!!!!

Every time we take the dogs for a ride in the car, they get very excited. I think that they believe that we are headed for Baja.
