Collared Lizard in New Mexico

The Collard Lizard can reach a foot long in length. They are known for the ability to run on their hind legs, looking like a small dinosaur. Recorded speed for this lizard is 16 miles an hour. Mostly, they eat bugs but will eat bits of fruits and vegetables. The Southwest is inhabited by critters we Western Oregonians are unaccustomed to viewing.
