Here is the Google Earth depiction of where we have chosen to roost for the next few days. We are North of Taos New Mexico in the Wild River Recreation Area. We are camped high up on the rim of a 800 foot deep canyon. The confluence of the Rio Grande and the Red River are just below. We arrived in time for a teeth rattling thunderstorm accompanied sporadically with flashes of lightening. It was awesome to experience. Norm and I above on a hike.
