Wild River Recreation Area

Above is the view of the Rio Grande from our camp on the rim of the canyon. This BLM campground is one of the nicest we have been in. The hiking is awesome here. It is mostly down and then of course "what goes down, must come up". The elevation here is about 7500 feet so hiking is a bit more strenuous for us flat-landers.

This is the confluence of the Rio Grande and the Red River. We have hiked down into the canyon to have a better look.
