Aialik Glacier in Aialik Bay. We spent some time outside just listening to the sounds of this glacier. It moans and creaks and calves huge chunks of itself directly into the sea. It was pretty amazing to see. The ice is an amazing blue, which of course I was unable to capture. This glacier has a face of 300 to 400 feet. It is huge.
View from the back of the boat on our way back to port. Glaciers in the background. 360 degrees of wonder. We saw Humpback Whales, Orca Killer Whales, Otter, Steller Sea Lions, Puffins, Black Bear, Bald Eagles. It was a full day of Glaciers and Wildlife.
