Carnival La Paz

                                                  Carnival La Paz

The Parade got a late start (this is Mexico). Hard to get good photos from this distance in the dark. But you get the idea?

This little princess was just delighted to have her picture taken while waiting and waiting and waiting her debut on the float.

Festive Dress for this 2013 La Paz Carniva. Most of us Gringos did not dress for the occasion.

Yee Ha!!! Lets Party

Balloons Balloons and More Balloons

Lots of Cotton Candy

One large Cerveza to celebrate the festivities

Not sure what they are making here but the tortillas are the size of a medium pizza.

Fresh Churros right out of the deep fat fryer. Yikes!

Rolled in Sugar. They are very tasty when hot.

Elote (corn) Vendor

 Elote served in a cup.
This is very  popular with the culture.
Hot corn shaved off the cob.
The corn is put in a cup. Mayonnaise, hot sauce and cheese are added.
It is not my favorite but does not taste too bad

20 feet long cart of just Mexican  confections. Looks like pure sugar gelatinous product with a flavor added. The most popular by far are the  Cajeta's. Made with Caramelized milk. . Also marzapan is quite popular.
Yup, this sign is in a Bar on the Malecon.
