Re-Cap Winter 2015---Bonus Photos Added for March

This is why we come to Baja

Hiking in to  repair the Geocache I placed 5 years ago.

Norm doing what he does best!
Life is just too good for words.

Fast Eddie and the Slow Learners.
Dancing and Drink and Art.  These big kids never grow old.The proceeds to this Art Show/ Music Event went to Casa Hogar in Mulege. The orphanage that supports children who have no other home.

These guys are quite good.

Norm honing his skills on the Hobie Peddle Kayak, Thought we would try a new mode of kayaking. We love the Hobie Mirage Drive Peddle Kayak.
Hands-free kayaking.

Vegetable truck arrives on the beach. I can't resist the truckload of vegetables when they arrive.

Roasting  my vegetables for a roasted Mexican salsa.
Nothing better than the smell of roasting veggies.

Norm never passes up a day of fun.
He participated in the Horseshoe Tournament here on Coyote and managed to stay in the game just  before and up to  the final event.  Who knew he was so skilled?

Ramie was paddling along and she spied this tiny seahorse swimming along. She temporarily and gently retrieved it from the water so we could all have a look. Then she released it back into the Bay to get on it's way.

I heard there was a Geocache out on a small island in the Bay. A group of us headed out one calm morning to have a "look-see".
Apparently the Hurricanes had washed it away. We never found it.

We sold one of our kayaks to Vonnie. But she had no way to transport it.

Thank you Norm and Bano Bill.

For building  Vonnie a kayak rack for the top of her motorhome.

Most anything can be accomplished  here on the beach.

Out on our  trip to Trinidad Cave Paintings. We stopped to have a group photo under a 500 year old cactus.
How do we know it is 500 years old?
Apparently these cactus only grow 2 centimeters a year. This one has stood the test of time.
We traversed through a private Rancho where we paid 100 pesos each to the landowner for that privilege, then started our trek down the hill into the canyon where off in the distance canyon  reside the pictographs.

Apparently the fellow on the left is the Medicine Man chanting over the slaughtered animal and fish which they will be roasting for dinner as depicted by the Bar-B-Q fork on the right.

Meet and Greet Art Showing on North Coyote. We all brought our arts and crafts to display and discuss. This is my contribution to the  event. Beaded Doilies, Kumihimo Braded Lanyards,  Wire/Beaded  Trees and Flowers.
The event was intended to bring together the RVers from the South Beach  and those residing in houses on the North Beach. It was a success and a lot of fun.

"The Big Swim" team and their support staff. Everyone participated but not all swam over. Nine hardy souls actually swam the 1.2 miles  (per Norm's GPS calculations)  from Playa Coyote to Coyote Island. The rest of us kayaked, paddle boarded and motor boated. Lending support along the way.

We arrived in all mode of support vehicle to assist and join in the fun of  "The Big Swim". I do believe the entire beach was in attendance.  We all took to the water to join the fun.

More dog daze on Playa Coyote

 Big kids having fun.

And then there are the Craft Classes at Posada.
              Basket Weaving this week
I wove the basket, then I incorporated my Kumihimo braiding into the basket by weaving it around the perimeter and coiling at the front.

I thought this would be a great way to utilize my Kumihimo Braiding.
This is a small basket 4.5 inches in diameter.

Paddle Board days have arrived. Lots of warm weather and flat water.

Bounder Musica Studio. Every Sunday here on Coyote Beach. They come from all around to make music and sing and share in the fun with like minded folks.
It has become a Sunday special here on Playa Coyote.
