Heading on Up the Alaska Highway

Kinuseo Falls located in the Tumbler Ridge Recreation Area at the Northern end of Monkman Provincial Park. 197 feet tall (taller than Niagara Falls) and Breath taking.

Murray River down stream from the termination of Kinuseo Falls.

Kiskatinaw Bridge located North of Dawson Creek and South of Fort Saint John. At 531 feet long, this Historic curved wooden bridge is the only original timber built bridge along the Alaska highway that is still in use today.

Leaving Fort Nelson, we stopped for the night at a roadside pull off that is a former Provincial Park. Another one of those FREE sites. We were delighted to find a beaver dam and were lucky enough to view Ms. Beaver out paddling about the stream. A pair of Harlequin Ducks floated near by.

Camping just off the highway at the above Beaver Dam Site

  1. What gorgeous scenery. The roads look a little rough, but I'm sure it's nothing a Lazy Daze can't handle!!
